How did you meet Ryuhei Kitamura?
We were the classmates in 7th grade. We were from different elementary school, but We met at junior highschool.

What is Ryuhei Kitamura's first impression?
He was different from others. He was not so tall like now, but he was full of confidence. I had no idea where his confidence came from, some might say he had bad attitude. We were not close friends at the beginning. We became close friends when "Staedtler ruler incident" happened.

Staedtler ruler incident? what's that?

My uncle who lived in Germany gave me a Stedtler ruler. It was a treasure for me and I used it very carefully. One day, when I entered the classroom, I saw it cracked on the floor. Ryuhei was standing right next to it with little panic on his face. There was no doubt that he broke it. I was upset. I asked him about the ruler and he admitted that he was playing chanbara and broke it. He apologized. But I was really really upset and said, "What are you gonna to about it" and he said "OK Hit me". So I punched him in the stomach. I was afraid when his eyes showed some anger, but we became close friends. It was about one month later that I found out Ryuhei is dangerous guy. There was a fight in the classroom. Ryuhei versus a guy I knew from the same elementary school. He was known as tough guy, so I got a little worried about Ryuhei, but surprisingly Ryuhei kicked his ass completely. I still remember that blood was all over the wall and ceiling of the classroom like AZUMI.
That's how I learned that Ryuhei is dangerous and I decided that I would never punch him again even he begged me to. And ofcourse, I have not punched him since.

What happened after graduation?
We went to different highschools, and he moved to Australia, but we kept in touch. I am not a fast writer so I sent him a letter after he sent me 10. He was really mad about it. I was interested in drawing and design so I am working with him as editor and designer now. Without Staedtler ruler, we were unable to become close friends, that's funny.

Last question. What is Ryuhei Kitamura to you?
He is my precious friend because he makes me meet with my favorite pro-wrestlers and martial artists. I have met Mr.Masakatsu Funaki and Mr.Don Frye so far. I will never forget being chalked down by Mr.Don Frye with sleeperhold at TOHO studio. I hope and wish he continues to work with my favorite fighters.
